We are excited to share that Western Union has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 Colorado by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes Western Union as one of the most community-minded companies in Colorado, determined by an independently administered and scored survey.
The Civic 50 Colorado initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities.
We’re honored to receive this distinction and we’re especially grateful to all our Western Union employees in Colorado and beyond for continuing to connect our business values to the needs of our communities. In 2020 64% of Western Union employees engaged through giving and volunteering nearly 12,000 hours in volunteer time to our communities around the globe.
