How to set up live exchange rate alerts

Waiting for the best exchange rate before you send a transfer? We’ve got you.

You can set up exchange rate alerts with Western Union online and on the app. You’ll be notified of live exchange rates when they match what you’re looking for, so you can get the most for your money.

Here’s a handy guide to setting up live exchange rate alerts.

What is an exchange rate alert?

Exchange rates are in constant flux. They can change 24 hours a day due to supply and demand, inflation, global events, and a host of other factors. This means that your money might be worth more in a foreign currency one day than it is the next.

If you want to get the most foreign currency for your money, you’ll want to wait for a favourable exchange rate. But because they change constantly, it can be hard to keep up with live exchange rates all the time.

That’s why we created exchange rate alerts.

On the Western Union website and app, you can set up live exchange rate alerts to be notified of the best time to make a transfer. Handy, right?
