Giving By Emily Larson June 27, 2017
Our hearts go out to those affected and their families impacted by the recent Grenfell Tower fire in London. Through our collaboration with the British Red Cross, the Western Union Foundation is supporting relief efforts to assist people and communities as they recover and rebuild, as well as to help prepare for possible emergencies in the future. As part of this effort, the Foundation will provide USD$10,000 to the British Red Cross’ London Fire Relief Fund to support the following services:
  • Housing needs
  • Emergency funds
  • Health and social care services
  • Food
In addition, from now until July 10, Western Union employee donations to the Foundation for the London Fire Relief Fund will be eligible for a 2:1 match through this link. If you are seeking ways to help, please visit the British Red Cross Grenfell relief site, or donate to the London Fire Relief Fund to support those impacted.     The Western Union Foundation is a separate charitable corporation that is tax-exempt under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, contributions to which are tax-deductible for US income tax purposes. The Foundation is supported by the Western Union Company, its employees, Agents, and business partners, working to support education and disaster relief efforts as pathways toward a better future.
