Western Union, a leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement and payments, announced that Giros y Finanzas and Acciones y Valores, both master agents, are providing home delivery service for Western Union money transfers in select areas of Bogotá, Cali, Medellin, and Barranquilla.
The agents’ home delivery service will enable enrolled customers in select Colombian cities to receive cash from their loved ones, without leaving their homes. As the government implements COVID-19 restrictions on movement to ensure residents’ safety, both master agents launched the home delivery money service for receivers, available from Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 4 pm [1]. Customers of Giros y Finanzas can receive up to 800,000 COP (approximately 200 USD) per money transfer. Customers of Acciones y Valores can receive up to 8,000,000 COP (approximately 2,000 USD) per money transfer.

Customers of Acciones y Valores can request for home delivery service through email. After the sender notifies the receiver (who has previously enrolled with Giros y Finanzas or requested home delivery service by Acciones y Valores) that money has been sent to them, the receiver can contact the agents on the numbers below.:

An Acciones y Valores representative will then verify all the related information to process the home delivery.
After the details are obtained and verified, the courier provider will arrive at the receiver’s residence with the money.
Before handing over the money, the courier provider will verify the receiver’s original government-issued ID. After a successful verification, the courier provider will obtain the receiver’s signature on the money transfer receipt and take a picture of handing over the money to them.
