    If you’re sending money to Colombia for cash pickup, you can send up to €5000. If you’re sending money directly to a Colombian bank account, you can send up to €4000. Finally, it is worth noting that if the receiver wants a transfer directly to their mobile wallet1 or Visa debit card, you can send up to €2200.

    How do I transfer money to Colombia online?
    1. Create a profile or log in to your Western Union account and click “Continue.”
    2. Select “Colombia” in the “Send to” box and enter the amount you would like to send in the relevant box.
    3. Once you’ve entered the desired amount, you’ll be asked to choose how the receiver will get the money — in their bank account or to be picked up in cash.
    4. For the next step, select a payment method. You should now be able to see a comprehensive quote.
    5. Click “Continue” to go to the next page and fill out both your own and the receiver’s details. You will also be asked to indicate the reason for the transfer and the source of the funds.
    6. Once you’ve confirmed the transaction, you’ll receive a unique MTCN (money transfer control number) to track the progress of your transfer. You can share this number with your receiver.
    What do I need to send money to Colombia online?

    To send money from Belgium to Colombia, you will need:

    • Your full name and mailing address.
    • An official form of Belgian ID (driver’s license, passport or other).
    • Your payment details.
    • Your receiver’s full name and address, as well as their bank details if you have chosen to transfer money to a Visa debit card or a bank account.
