  2. Top up your WU AUTO-SEND account with the amount you wish to send at any ATM or via your bank’s internet or mobile banking. Your money will be transferred to your receiver automatically.
  3. Inform your intended receiver of the tracking number. You’ll get the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) via SMS, which you can also use to track your transfer. Your receiver can pick up the cash at any of our agent locations overseas.
  4. For subsequent money transfers to the same recipient, simply top up your WU AUTO-SEND account online or at an ATM for automatic transfers.

  1. Download one of our agents’ mobile apps. Complete the registration process and connect a bank account through the app.
  2. Log in to the app. Choose the Western Union money transfer service and fill out the required information to start your money transfer. Then, select your registered account to pay for the transfer.
  3. Pay for the transfer. Upon successful payment, you’ll get an eReceipt with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), which you can use to track your transfer.
  4. Inform your receiver. Share the MTCN with your intended receiver and let them know that the cash is ready for pickup at one of our agent locations.
  5. To send money to another recipient, simply update the receiver’s information on the app.

Only South Korean citizens can use the Kakao Bank app, NH I&S app, Korea I&S app. As per local laws and regulations, mobile registration is not allowed for foreign customers at the moment.

For other bank apps, like fintech apps, the Western Union money transfer service is available to foreign customers and South Korean citizens.
