    Money transfers to Nigeria are capped at €10,000. You can send up to €10,000 to a bank account, or, if your receiver wants to pick up the money in cash, the amount of the transfer made online or at an agent location must not exceed €5000.

    How do I transfer money to Nigeria online?
    1. Create a profile or log in to your Western Union account and click “Continue.”
    2. Select “Nigeria” in the “Send to” box and enter the amount you would like to send in the relevant box.
    3. Once you’ve entered the desired amount, you’ll be asked to choose how the receiver will get the money — in their bank account or to be picked up in cash.
    4. For the next step, select a payment method. You should now be able to see a comprehensive quote.
    5. Click “Continue” to go to the next page and fill out both your own and the receiver’s details. You will also be asked to indicate the reason for the transfer and the source of the funds.
    6. Once you’ve confirmed the transaction, you’ll receive a unique MTCN (money transfer control number) to track the progress of your transfer. You can share this number with the receiver.
    What do I need to send money to Nigeria online?

    If you haven’t already, create a Western Union profile for free. Visit our registration page and enter the following details:

    • Your name and address.
    • Details of an official form of ID, such as a driver’s license or a French passport.

    Once you’re registered, you can start setting up your money transfer to Nigeria by entering the following details:
