Choose how you want to send money from Taiwan

How can I send money?

Simply choose your preferred method and follow our step-by-step guide.

Send money with King’s pay app or website for a cash pickup2 or a bank transfer.
  1. Log in or register

– Not registered? Create a profile on King’s Town Bank (KTB) website or app.

  1. Verify your profile

– Fill in your details including your full name, date of birth, postal address, email address, mobile number, and your government-issued ID.
– Make sure your online profile name matches the one on your ID.
– Upload a copy of your National ID (Front and Back) and Health Insurance Card (Front) for verification
– Your ID and mobile number will be verified online.
– A verification mail will be sent to your registered email address. Click the link in the mail to activate your profile.

  1. Verify your bank account

– Browse the list of banks and select your bank name and bank code.
– Fill out the bank account number for funding the money transfer.
– Your bank account, ID, and mobile number will be verified online.
– Once these details are verified, your bank account will be registered successfully.

  1. Enter your receiver’s details

– Add your receiver’s details including their full name and address, the destination country, and the amount you’d like to send.

  1. Start the money transfer

– Make the money transfer through your registered bank account.
– You will need your receiver’s bank name, bank code, and account number.
– Choose the payout method for your receiver: cash, or direct to bank.

  1. Pay and send

– Check all the payment details. Be sure to mention the payment reference number provided.
– Pay for your transfer.
– You’ll get a confirmation email mentioning the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Use it to track your transfer and share it with your receiver only.

  1. Verify your profile

– Fill in your details including your full name, country, date of birth, postal address, mobile number, and your government-issued ARC.

– Upload a copy of your ARC (Front and Back) and a selfie photo holding ARC for verification.

– Your ARC and mobile number will be verified online.

  1. Enter your receiver’s details

-Add your receiver’s details including their full name, your relationship.

-Add your receiver’s bank account details including bank name, bank code, and account number if you make a bank transfer.

  1. Start the money transfer

– Select a convenient store

– Choose registered receiver

– Choose the payout method for your receiver: cash, or direct to bank.

– Input amount

  1. Pay and send

– Check all the payment details. Be sure to mention the payment reference number provided.

– Pay for your transfer at selected convenient store.

– You’ll get a confirmation message mentioning the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Use it to track your transfer and share it with your receiver only.

How to activate online money transfer service

  • You must hold an account with King’s Town bank and open online banking account
  • fill out the “Online Western Union Money Transfer Application Form” and go to the branch to activate the “Online Western Union Money Transfer” function.

How to send money

STEP 1: Go to the branch and fill out the “Online Western Union Money Transfer Application” and agree on the “recipient information”.

STEP 2: Log in to our online banking and select Western Union (outward remittance) in the foreign currency service.

STEP 3: After reading the consent form, check “Read” and click Confirm.

STEP 4: Select the transfer account, receiver’s name, payment currency and enter the remittance amount.

STEP 5: Make sure the entered information is correct and click Confirm.

STEP 6: Confirm the transaction message and inform the receiver of the relevant information.

Notice

  • You must have a Taiwan identity card or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (must be valid for more than one year) to apply. Those under the age of 20 must obtain the consent of their legal representative.
  • The daily accumulation of a single remittance per person shall not exceed (inclusive) NT$500,000.
  • Some countries may still need to go to the counter for processing.

  1. Share your details

– Provide the agent with your full name and a valid government-issued photo ID.

  1. Share your receiver’s details

– Provide the agent with your receiver’s full name, the destination country, and the amount you wish to send.
– Choose the payout method: cash, or direct to bank.

  1. Pay and send

– Pay for your transfer in cash.
– You’ll get a receipt mentioning the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Use it to track your transfer and share it with your receiver only.
