To send money to Ukraine online:

1. Visit the Western Union website or download the Western Union^® app.
2. Register for free or log in to your profile.
3. Start your money transfer via the Western Union^® money transfer service by clicking ‘Send now’.
4. Select the amount you want to send and choose the way your loved one wants to receive their money – cash pickup, bank account or credit¹/debit card.
5. Then choose the way you’d like to pay. Select bank transfer, Sofort or credit¹/debit card. Click ‘Continue’.
6. Choose whether you want to send to a previous or new receiver. Then fill in the relevant details that is required for your chosen transfer method. At this point, you will also need to provide a reason for your transfer and state the source of your funds.
7. Pay with your credit¹/debit card.
8. Make a note of the tracking number (MTCN) on your receipt and keep track of your transfer.

To send money online to Ukraine from the UK, the information you need will depend on the way your loved one wants to receive their money.

• Cash pickup – Your receiver’s first name and last name, plus the purpose of transaction and source of funds.
• Bank account – Their first name, last name and email address. IBAN information, the reason for your transaction and where your funds were sourced from.
• Credit¹/debit card – Your loved one’s first name, last name, card number, purpose of the transfer and source of funds.

You can send up to 8,000 GBP from the UK to Ukraine with Western Union when the money is being received by cash pickup or through a bank account. If you want to pay using cash in-store for cash pickup, then the maximum amount is 5,000 GBP. For the credit¹/debit card receiver option, you can transfer up to £1,950 GBP. To send money to Ukraine in person:
1. Find your nearest Western Union agent location.
2. Bring along some government-issued ID (such as a passport or driving licence) and possibly a bank statement/payslip for proof of funds. You’ll also need your receiver’s bank details and account information.
3. Pay for the transfer by cash or card.
4. Keep hold of your receipt, which contains the tracking number (MTCN). Share it with your receiver so they can collect their money.

Another option is to simply start the transfer online or via the app and then head to an agent location within 24 hours to pay with cash. Make sure you bring your photo ID.
