How do I pick up a money transfer?

You can pick up your money at any Western Union agent location. You’ll need to provide the following information:

  • The tracking number (MTCN)
  • The approximate amount that was sent
  • Sender’s full name
  • Sender’s country from where the money was sent
  • Acceptable ID documents

Some restrictions may apply.

How do I know if my money transfer has been received?

Check your transfer status now. Type in the sender’s name and MTCN. You’ll see the latest status of your money transfer.

What do I need to bring in order to pick up my money at a Western Union agent location in Qatar?

Please get these details ready:

How much does it cost to receive money?

All fees are paid by the sender. Receiving money is free of charge unless the receiver chooses to receive the money in a different currency or to a device or an account which was not part of the transfer.

What is a tracking number (MTCN)?

The tracking number (MTCN) is a unique number assigned to your transfer. Your receiver will need this number when they pick up their money. It can also be used to track your transfer.
