    You can send up to 50,000 GBP if you choose to send money via a bank transfer to a bank account. If you want to pay using a debit/credit1 card or Sofort to a bank account, then the maximum is 4,000 GBP. For cash pickup, you can send up to 5,000 GBP in-store or 4,000 GBP online.

    It’s easy to send money to Greece online, just follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your Western Union profile or register. Then, click on ‘Send money’ to begin your transfer.
    2. Choose ‘Greece’ as your destination and then enter the total amount you wish to send.
    3. Select the methods of payment and receipt. At this point, you’ll be given a money transfer estimate and breakdown. Click ‘Continue’ once you’re happy.
    4. You’ll then be asked to enter the details needed to complete the money transfer or select a previous receiver.
    5. Complete you transfer and on your receipt you’ll receive a unique tracking number (MTCN). You and your receiver can use this number to track your transfer.
    What do I need to send money online to Greece?

    There are a few things you need to send money to Greece online, but first you’ll need a Western Union profile. To register you’ll need:

    • Your full name and address.
    • A UK form of government-issued ID, such as a passport or driver’s license.

    Now that you have a Western Union profile, you’ll be ready to transfer money to Greece. Before starting a transfer, make sure you possess the following information:

    • Your reason for transfer and the source of your funds.
    • Your receiver’s full name, matching their bank details.
    • If you’re sending money to their bank account, you’ll need your receiver’s bank details, including their BIC, IBAN or SWIFT code, and branch name.
